What Warm means
On Samsung washers without a digital display, a blinking Warm light on its own is the pattern for a communication error. One control board has stopped talking to another. This follows the AC and AE group on numeric displays. The washer may stop and ignore presses. The cycle may not start, or the washer may stop partway and ignore button presses. Nothing about water or the drum is involved in this pattern.
Common causes of Warm
- Connector seating between boards
- Wiring harness between modules
- Main board communication circuit
1. Turn the washer off and leave it for two to three minutes. 2. Turn it back on and restart the cycle. 3. Check that the outlet works and the plug is seated. 4. If the light blinks again, stop and request service.
- A restart does not show which board stopped answering.
- We check the connectors and harness between boards.
- You approve a written price before any board is quoted.
Other Washer codes
What does the Warm light mean?
On a washer without a digital display, a blinking Warm light alone is the pattern for a communication error. It is the same condition that numeric-display washers show as AC or AE.
Will a restart help?
Sometimes it re-establishes contact. If it returns, the link needs inspection. Turn it off for two to three minutes first, then restart the cycle. If the Warm light returns, the link between boards needs inspection.
Is it the same as AC or AE?
Yes. It is the same condition as the AC and AE codes on numeric displays. The Warm light is how washers without a digital display show it, so the cause and the checks are the same.
