What AC6 / AE6 means

On Samsung WF45-series front-load washers, AC6 or AE6 means the inverter board, which drives the motor, has stopped communicating with the main control board. Models that use this table include the WF45M5500A and WF455ARGSGR/A2. The WD53 combo words the same code as a connection problem between the main board and the inverter. The drum will not turn, and the cycle stops with the code on the display.

1. Turn the washer off and wait two to three minutes. 2. Turn it back on and start a short cycle. 3. Check that the drum is not jammed by a sock or a hard item between the drum and the tub. 4. If AC6 or AE6 returns, stop using the washer and schedule a visit.

Why won't the drum turn with AC6?

The inverter board powers the motor, and the main board cannot reach it. Without that link the control stops the cycle instead of driving the motor blindly.

Do AE6 and AC6 differ on this washer?

Will a restart fix it?
