Samsung NSY6DG8550SR Dual-Fuel Range Repair

Most common issues on this model

  1. Display dark after outage
  2. Convection fan loud or silent
  3. Slow preheat, low heat
  4. Flex Duo divider not recognized
  5. Illuminated knob not lighting

The NSY6DG8550SR is a Bespoke 6.3 cubic-foot smart slide-in dual-fuel range in stainless steel, with a Flex Duo oven and illuminated precision knobs. The cooktop burns gas while the oven is electric, so it needs both a gas line and a 240-volt circuit.

On a dual-fuel range with a Flex Duo oven, we sort problems by system. Burner ignition and gas flow belong to the cooktop. Heat, the convection fan, the divider contacts and the sensor belong to the oven. A display that goes dark after a power interruption points to the supply or the control board, and a slow preheat to the elements or sensor.

Before any part is ordered we read the model and serial from the label and confirm the gas and electric connections behind the range. You get the price in writing before work starts, and our repairs come with a 30-day workmanship warranty.

NSY6DG8550SRNSY6DG8550SR questions
Do you service both the gas cooktop and electric oven on this range?

Yes. We test burner ignition and flame as well as the oven elements, fan and sensor, and we tell you which system needs work. A burner that will not light is handled separately from an oven that will not heat, so each repair is priced on its own.

The knobs do not light up. Does that mean a burner is bad?

Not necessarily. The lighting is tied to the knob switch and its wiring, so we test those and the burner separately. If the switch tests good, we look at the control circuit that feeds the knob lighting.

Why is the oven slow to preheat?

A tired bake element, a drifting sensor or the board can cause it. We test each so only the failed part is replaced. If all three test sound, we also check the oven wiring harness for a loose connection at the board.
