Why does DC6 appear after I use the app?

Lock and Smart control in SmartThings can hold the door shut. Auto Open Door cannot work while they are on, so the unit reports DC6. Turning those settings off is done from your phone, and nothing in the unit needs to be opened.

How do I get the door open now?

Turn the power off. The door will then open. Then change the app settings if you want the door to open itself in future. Leave the door open afterward so the drum can air out.

Does DC6 mean a repair is needed?

Often not. If it persists with those settings off and clear space in front, we inspect the opening mechanism. The unit is still washing and drying correctly in most cases, so you can use it while you decide.
