What bC3 means

On Samsung DW80R and DW80T series dishwashers, including the DW80T5040US, bC3 is a check code meaning there is no communication between the chip on the sub board and the touch buttons. The panel cannot read your presses reliably, so keys may not respond or the display may behave oddly. It is a diagnostic code that appears only on some units, usually through a recall display, and it is separate from a simple stuck-button code.

Is bC3 about a stuck button?

No. That is bC2. bC3 means the touch chip and the buttons are not talking, so keys may simply not respond. A restart sometimes brings the panel link back, but not always.

Can I still run a cycle?

If the keys respond after a reset, you can try one. If they do not, the dishwasher cannot be controlled and needs testing. A repeated failure to respond tells us the link is truly broken.

Is it related to AC?

Not directly. AC is the boards talking to each other. bC3 sits at the panel, so we check different connections first. The repairs are different too, so the code tells us where to look first.
