Samsung Bespoke DVE53BB8700VA AI Dryer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- AI Smart Dial turning and selecting cycles
- Super Speed Dry heat and timing
- SmartThings pairing and notifications
- Airflow through the duct and lint trap
The Samsung Bespoke DVE53BB8700VA is an electric dryer with a 7.6 cu. ft. drum, an AI Smart Dial for choosing cycles, a Super Speed Dry cycle and SmartThings Wi-Fi notifications. Its dial and finish are designed to match a washer beside it.
The dial is the first thing we test when a user says the dryer ignores them: we check whether it turns, whether the display responds, and whether the choice carries into the cycle. Super Speed Dry asks the heater and blower to work hard, so we also check that the duct can move enough air. A restricted vent will show up quickly on a fast cycle.
The Wi-Fi link is checked last, because it is rarely the cause of a drying problem. We read the model and serial from the label before we order a part, quote the price in writing, and back our work with a 30-day workmanship warranty.

Error codes this model can show
The dial turns but nothing starts. What is checked?
We check the door switch, the supply at the terminal block, and whether the control registers the dial. A control that does not read the dial points to the panel or wiring.
Why does Super Speed Dry make airflow more important?
A fast cycle needs strong airflow to carry moisture out. A partly blocked duct slows the cycle and can trip thermal protection, so we measure the vent output.
Does this dryer use the same parts as the DVE53BB8900DA?
They share a size and several features, but the 8700 lists SmartThings and the AI Smart Dial. We confirm by label before ordering anything.
