Dryer Repair in Houston

We repair Samsung electric and gas dryers, including FlexDry models. If clothes stay damp, the dryer shuts off early or the drum will not turn, we start with airflow, heat and the controls.

01What goes wrong

Common dryer problems we fix

In the order we see them across Houston homes.

01

Laundry comes out damp after a full run

02

Dryer shuts off partway through

03

Drum does not turn or squeals

04

No heat, only cool air

05

Burning or hot smell during a cycle

06

Display showing a code or not responding

Samsung dryers carry model numbers beginning with DVE for electric and DVG for gas, a convenient reading aid for the type on the label. The FlexDry line adds a second compartment above the main drum, with its own controls and airflow to check.

Houston laundry rooms are often warm and humid, and many dryers vent through long runs in older homes or through attic and wall routes in newer ones. Lint buildup restricts air, which makes dryers run long, run hot and wear out belts, rollers and heaters sooner than they should.

On a visit we check the vent connection and airflow, the lint path, the drum rollers and belt, the heating system and the thermal protection, then tell you what we found and the written price before work begins.

05Dryer questions
Why is laundry still damp at the end of a dryer cycle?

A lint-clogged vent is the usual cause, with a heating problem next. We check the vent run and the lint screen area first. Damp clothes alone do not tell us if the heater has failed.

Is a long cycle always a sign the dryer is broken?

Not always. A narrow vent, a full lint trap or a humid utility room can lengthen cycles. We check airflow before looking at the heater and the sensors, because cleaning the vent may solve it.

What if I smell something burning?

Stop using the dryer and unplug it or turn off the gas. Lint buildup is a common cause, and it is a fire concern. We inspect the vent, the lint path and the heating area before the dryer is used again.
