Most common issues on this model

  1. Error shown after a voltage dip or power interruption
  2. Freezer fan noise after frost build-up
  3. Large touchscreen and AI Vision camera response
  4. Flex compartment mode

White glass panels, a Family Hub screen with AI Vision and 29 cu. ft. of space mark the RF29DB990012, a Bespoke 4-Door Flex refrigerator. Its lower-right Flex compartment switches between fridge and freezer.

A refrigerator with a large screen and cameras has more electronics than most, so after a power dip or a storm we check the board and the power supply to the door before we suspect the cooling parts. If the freezer fan turns noisy after frost builds up, we clear the frost and look at the defrost operation. A Flex compartment that does not follow its setting makes us check the damper and the mode.

A unit like this often ties into a home network, so we note your settings before we power it down. We read the model and serial number from the label, give you a written price first, and cover our work with a 30-day workmanship warranty.

RF29DB990012RF29DB990012 questions
What happens after a voltage dip?

The board can lock or show an error until it is reset. We check the incoming power and the board, then test the cooling before we call it fixed.

What does AI Vision need to work?

It needs power to the door electronics and a working camera and network connection. We check the wiring through the hinge and the panel. We also confirm the network settings after power returns.

Why would the freezer fan make noise?

Frost on the blade is the usual cause. We clear it and test the defrost operation so it does not come back. The cause matters, so we look at drains and seals too.
