What PC ER / PC CH means

On Samsung French door refrigerators, including RF28HMEDBSR and RF28HDEDBSR, PC Er or PC Ch is a communication error between parts of the refrigerator. It can happen after a power surge or if the doors are not properly connected. The display panel waits for an answer from the main control, and if none arrives for 10 seconds, the code blinks until communication returns. The owner sees PC Er or PC Ch flashing on the panel.

What does PC Er mean?

It means the display panel is not getting an answer from the main control. After about 10 seconds without a reply, the panel blinks PC Er or PC Ch until the link works again.

Can a power surge cause it?
