Samsung DW80R7061 StormWash 42 dBA Dishwasher Repair
Most common issues on this model
- StormWash arm movement and nozzle blockage
- Quiet-running sound changes from the pumps
- Filter and drain pump
- Door latch, latch switch and control response
The DW80R7061 is a StormWash built-in dishwasher with a 42 dBA sound rating, sold in black stainless steel. It is an older model, and the listing gives no further capacity or width figures, so we leave them out.
A dishwasher rated for quiet running makes any new noise easy to notice. We listen first, then look at the filter, the spray arm and the pumps for debris or wear. If the unit does not start, we turn to the door latch and switch. We also check the inlet valve and the door seal for leaks. We confirm the model and serial from the label before ordering parts, and you get a written price before any work begins.

Error codes this model can show
How do I know if the noise is normal?
A quiet model should hum softly. Grinding, rattling or a sharp whine on a unit of this type usually means debris or a worn pump, and we inspect the pump and spray arm.
Is black stainless harder to service?
No. The finish only affects the outer door panel. We confirm the exact model and serial from the label and order parts to match, whichever version you have.
What does the 42 dBA rating tell us?
The listing gives this model a 42 dBA rating. We do not compare it with others, but a quiet unit makes new noises easier to spot, and we trace them to the pump or spray arm.
