What E-43 means
During automatic cooking on Samsung US microwaves, E-43 appears as a T1 max time error on the easy or PH sensor. The oven waits a set first period for that sensor to show a change, and when nothing arrives in time, it ends the program instead of cooking blind. You see the code and a cycle that stopped early, often with the food only partly done.
Common causes of E-43
- A sensor signal that did not change within the first timing stage
- A food container that blocked the sensor from reading
- A weak connection in the sensor circuit
1. Check whether the dish is sealed so tightly that nothing can reach the sensor. 2. Take the oven off power and let moisture dry. 3. Pause for 60 seconds before powering up. 4. Start the automatic program again with a loosely covered dish. 5. When the same E-43 comes back with a normal dish, request service.
- A normal dish that still times out leaves the sensor circuit as the likely area, and we test it directly.
- We watch several automatic programs before judging.
- You are quoted in writing first.
Other Microwave codes
Does E-43 mean the food was bad?
No. It means the sensor did not respond within the allowed time. Food type matters little, though a sealed container can hold back what the sensor needs to read.
What is T1?
T1 is the first timing stage the oven gives a sensor to react. When it expires with no change, the oven stops and flags the sensor.
Can I use another cooking mode?
Yes, manual time cooking does not depend on this sensor, so it is the practical way to keep using the oven until we check it.
Still seeing E-43?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
