What Clg / Cg means

Clg or Cg is a result from the Vent Blockage test on Samsung dryers with a digital display. It reports that the vent is clogged. The dryer still ran the test, and the result says airflow is restricted enough to matter. The test also has separate results for about 80 percent blocked, which is C80, and over 90 percent, which is C90. You will see the code after the test, often with long drying times.

Lint building up in the vent duct

1. Turn the dryer off and unplug it. 2. Clean the lint filter and its slot. 3. Pull the dryer forward and look at the vent hose for kinks, crushing, or lint. 4. Clear the duct and the outside vent hood. 5. Reconnect the hose and run the Vent Blockage test again.
