What Blinking: All four or more lights means
Samsung dishwashers without a digital display report problems by flashing cycle lights, and the light names differ from model to model. When all four or more lights blink together, the control panel cannot communicate with the rest of the dishwasher. It is the same condition that a digital-display model shows as CE. You will see the whole row of lights flashing, the keys unresponsive, and the cycle either refusing to start or stopping partway.
Common causes of Blinking: All four or more lights
- Link between the control panel and the main board
- Connections and wiring behind the panel
- Whether a restart restores the link
1. Turn the dishwasher off. 2. Wait a minute, then turn it back on. 3. Make sure the door is closed and latched. 4. Start a short cycle and watch the lights. 5. If every light still blinks, leave the dishwasher off and call us.
- A restart does not show which end of the link dropped.
- We test the panel side and the board side in turn.
- Pricing is written down before we start, with a 30-day workmanship warranty after.
Other Dishwasher codes
Why are all my lights flashing at once?
On these models that pattern means the panel and the rest of the dishwasher stopped talking. No single cycle light is being singled out. We would treat it as a panel link problem, and test it that way.
Will it clear on its own?
A restart sometimes restores the link. If the lights flash again on the next cycle, the connection needs a proper check. Watch the next couple of cycles before deciding it is solved.
Is this the same as a code on newer models?
Yes, digital-display models show CE for the same condition. The lights are just the older way of saying it. The checks and the repair path are the same as for that code.
