What Low light blinking means

On Samsung dryers without a digital display, a blinking Low light is the jammed button error. The control sees a panel button as stuck or held down. This panel has lights only and no screen to show a code. The dryer may not start or may stop because it thinks a button is being pressed, even though you are not touching the panel.

Common causes of Low light blinking

  • A panel button that is physically stuck
  • Dirt or moisture holding a button down
  • The panel reporting a button that is not pressed
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Turn the dryer off. 2. Touch and release every button on the panel, working over the edges of each one. 3. Wipe the panel with a dry cloth. Do not spray liquid on it. 4. Turn the dryer on and try a cycle. 5. If the Low light blinks again, stop using the dryer.

! Why to stop there
  • A button that frees up once can stick again, so one good start does not close the question.
  • We test which button the control reads as pressed and check the panel for damage.
  • We give a written price before work and a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
Low light blinkingLow light blinking questions
Why is the Low light blinking when I am not pressing anything?

The control thinks a button is held down. It could be a physical jam from grime or a false signal from the panel. Working each button often frees it.

Is this the same as the Low heat setting?

No. Here the Low light is blinking as an alert, not showing a chosen heat setting. A steady light is a setting, while a blinking light is the jammed button message.

Will the dryer run once the button frees up?

Usually yes. If the message returns or the panel looks damaged, we test the panel and tell you in writing which part needs to be replaced before we do any work.
