We follow the air path from the freezer to the fresh-food side, checking the evaporator fan, the damper and any ice in the way. If the air path is clear, we look at the door seals and the defrost system next.
What causes fused ice cubes?
Moisture and temperature swings are the usual causes. We check for humid air entering through the seals and look at the fill valve for a slow leak, since extra water that refreezes in the bin will fuse cubes together.
