No. It tells you the load is lopsided or too small. Spread it out and restart. Opening the door and redistributing the clothes takes a minute and usually clears the code.

Why does a single towel cause UB?

A tiny load cannot balance itself, so the drum shakes. Add a similar item or two. Small loads with one heavy item are the usual trouble, so mix sizes where you can.

What if UB keeps coming back?

Check that the unit sits level. If it still repeats with a balanced load, we inspect the drum movement and sensors. Rocking on the floor is a clue too, so push gently on each corner to test the feet.
