Samsung NZ30K6330 30-Inch Induction Cooktop Repair

Most common issues on this model

  1. Power and control board response when a zone will not heat
  2. Cooling fan operation and airflow under the unit
  3. Touch control glass response
  4. Cookware detection on each zone

The NZ30K6330 is a 30-inch smart induction cooktop, sold in black stainless steel in the RG and RS versions. It is an older model, but many are still in daily use in kitchens built around a standard 30-inch cutout.

Induction heats the pan directly through coils under the glass, so we look at different things than on a gas or radiant top. We check that each zone detects the cookware, that the cooling fan runs and the vents are clear, and that the touch controls respond. We also inspect the power connection and the glass surface. We confirm the model and serial on the label before ordering parts and quote the price before we start.

NZ30K6330NZ30K6330 questions
Why will one zone not heat but the others work?

On an induction cooktop of this type we check cookware detection first, then the zone's coil connection and the power board. A pan that is too small or not magnetic can also stop a zone.

Does this cooktop need special pans?

Induction needs magnetic cookware. A simple test is to see if a magnet sticks to the base of the pan. We test the zone with a known good pan when we arrive.

Can a cracked glass top be repaired?

Cracked glass generally means replacing the top, and we check availability by the model and serial from the label. We give you the full price in writing before ordering.
