What F0 / F1 / F2 means

On the Samsung NZ30K7570 induction cooktop, F0, F1 and F2 are communication codes inside the control. F0 means the main and sub circuit boards stopped talking to each other. F1 means the main board lost contact with its memory chip. F2 means the touch-sensing chip is communicating abnormally. The NZ30K7570RS/AA is the model this was confirmed on. You will usually see the code on the display and find the keys unresponsive or the zones unwilling to start.

Common causes of F0 / F1 / F2

  • Which of the three links the code names: board to board, board to memory, or touch chip
  • Connections between the control boards
  • Whether a full power reset restores normal communication
  • Whether the touch panel responds once the cooktop restarts
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Turn the cooktop off and wait for the glass to cool. 2. Turn it on again and check whether the code returns. 3. If it does, unplug the power cord for at least 30 seconds, then reconnect it. 4. Keep the panel dry and clear of objects while you try again. 5. If the code shows again, leave the cooktop off and call us. Do not open the cooktop.

! Why to stop there
  • A power reset only tells us whether the link recovers; it does not show why it dropped.
  • We identify which of the three links is failing before recommending any part.
  • Nothing is replaced until you have approved the written price, and our 30-day workmanship warranty applies.
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
F0 / F1 / F2F0 / F1 / F2 questions
What is the difference between F0, F1 and F2?

F0 is the main and sub boards failing to communicate, F1 is the main board and its memory, and F2 is the touch-enabled chip. Knowing which one appears tells us where to start testing.

Can I keep using the cooktop if it still heats?

We advise against it. The control is the part that regulates power, and a communication code means it is not working as designed. Turn it off and have it checked.

Will a reset make the code go away for good?

It can if the cause was a brief glitch. A code that returns after the 30-second unplug points to a real communication problem we need to test.
